Education
Masters in English language literature from the University of Oslo. Teaching degree from the University of Oslo (Ped). Double bachelor in History and German from the University of Washington. I have also studied one year university courses in Spanish in Barcelona, German in Freiburg and photography here in Oslo.
Experience
I have over 15 years of teaching experience. I am now teaching IB English literature here in Oslo. I have also taught English at an Oslo videregående school, so I have worked with both the Norwegian and IB curriculums. I spent a few years teaching English as a second language in Barcelona and Chile. I have also tutored middle school pupils, and older students preparing for University entrance exams. I love teaching and see my job as providing a combination of tools my students can use to succeed in their academic endeavors. It is important that my students not only improve their English comprehension and writing skills, it is also imperative that they learn strategies for writing essays, taking tests and exams and for continuing to learn on their own.
